Hi, I’m Lindsey

First of all I would just like to say congratulations on your engagement and upcoming celebrations. It’s such an exciting time and and I always feel honoured to be a part of such a special day. It’s an incredible feeling to watch a bride, after all the whirlwind of emotions and adrenaline getting ready throughout the day, to take that first step towards one of the biggest moments and celebrations of their lives, and at that moment, feeling pure joy and readiness, looking and most importantly feeling their best from within.

“I feel incredibly lucky to be doing a job that lets me be so creative and that helps to make people feel their most vibrant happy self!”

My hairstyling background and inspiration

My main employment since my early 20’s was in the NHS and Public Health in care, project management and managerial roles . Alongside this, creating hairstyles had always been a huge passion for me.

It started from a young age when I was awestruck by hairstyles of rock stars on the covers of my parents vinyls, then on to beachy waves and braids after being in the ocean (the ocean is another one of my passions) and I also loved the glamorous 1940s pin-curl sets and brushed out waves.

I gained my hairdressing qualification and I continue to train in bridal hairstyling with some of the best in the industry, such as Hannah Taylor, The Artful Hairstylist, Carl Brown and Kristina Gasperas.

Whilst growing up listening to music, watching music videos, looking through vinyls and CDs… I was also always drawn to the singer’s vivacious hairstyles - from the 1940’s look of Billie Holiday’s barrel waves and curls set with flowers, to the Queen of bohemia Stevie Nick’s heavy bangs and long natural waves to the brightly coloured, backcombed and spritzed hair of Cyndi Lauper.

My bridal hairstyling and business totally fulfils my passion and creative side and the wedding industry is so full of love and joy.

A little about me…

I live with my wonderful partner and our combined family of 5 children - of which I totally adore. We live in a little village outside of Market Harborough in Leicestershire, and are lucky enough to be surrounded by gorgeous countryside, walks and sunsets.

I have a love for being out in the open air and especially love being in the the ocean and body boarding.  I have definitely taken inspiration too for hairstyles from the the salty, beachy waves created in our hair after spending hours at the beach.

My favourite pastimes include cooking and eating out with my partner and friends is one of my favourite things to do!  I love a cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc or a draft beer or ale too.

I’ve played the guitar since I was teenager and I am currently learning the violin (I find the sound of the violin really emotive and also love a bit of punk folk music) and I love playing with my partner.
